Reeves Ace Hardware is a family-owned business that began in 1928 in Clayton, Georgia. There are currently four stores including ours in Highlands, North Carolina. The store in Highlands is run by Jim Luke, a grandson of the founder, Lewis Reeves Sr. Founded in the 1940's, it has grown to include a full-service lumber yard and building supply area as well as a 20,000 sq. ft. retail space. It employs nearly 30 staff and focuses on the needs of contractors and home-owners in this area of western North Carolina. Highlands is a resort community and Reeves has played a vital part in the growth and vitality of the area, providing materials and services to home-owners and professionals alike. It joined the Ace consortium in 1968 and is now in the top 10 per cent of Ace stores nationwide. As a part of that network, we are able to provide the full range of services and products that Ace offers as well as those that are unique to the needs of our customers.
