Rivers Ace Rothbury has become a mainstay in the Rothbury community, first opening in 1952 as an independent hardware store. It eventually became part of Blue Grass Hardware, a Kentucky-based Hardware distribution, and went on to become affiliated with ServiStar Hardware until ServiStar was purchased by True Value. In 2017 it joined the ACE Hardware family of retailers. Rothbury Hardware is known as the Rivers Family of Companies' "Service Center."
