However, if someone in your home has allergies or asthma, you may want a finer filter that can remove smaller allergen particles. Panel vs. Pleated Air Filter

You will have to decide between pleated and panel air filters. Flat-panel filters are inexpensive and are solid options for filtering out pollen, pet dander and dust. However, pleated air filters typically last longer.
